Three years, one hand. From the first pencil stroke to a full personal collection — with Bee, at W.I.T.

Fashion Design at W.I.T. is a three-year hands-on journey. Each year is a complete level on its own — Junior, Mid, Senior — and together they build a designer: from the fundamentals of the pencil, to a personal collection, to a full portfolio grounded in the history of clothing and world cultures.

year 01 · junior

the foundation

We start with the use of coloured pencils, three-dimensional rendering, the basic pieces of a woman's wardrobe, and facial features together with hair — so our sketches start to have character from the very first months. Then anatomy of the female body and movement. Finally we step into markers and learn to render every texture, building garments with more creative composition and runway air. All materials and tools for the first year are included with enrolment: sketchbook, coloured pencils and markers. No prior knowledge is needed — you don't need to have a 'hand' for drawing to follow this course.

history & first collection

The second year begins to build a portfolio. We study the history of clothing over the last century and use it as inspiration: designs and moodboards for every iconic decade up to today. The final project of the year is a personal raw collection of 8 designs — the student's own experiential evolution — with fabric range, colour palette, full research and technical drawings.

year 03 · senior

cultures, avant-garde & rtw

The third year is about the history of world cultures. We travel through Egypt, Latin America, Japan, Africa, the Balkans and beyond — decoding silhouettes, ornament, colour, ritual and craft — and translate that research into design. The year builds toward two full collections: one avant-garde, one final ready-to-wear. Each with its own moodboards, colour and fabric palette, technical drawings and complete portfolio presentation.
